Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. – Colossians 3:23-24

Dear Christians, God wants His children to excel in all they do. According to the dictionary this means to ‘surpass’ or ‘outshine.’ If you have a mindset for excellence, you will always go that extra mile. That is what Paul means by: ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart.’ Someone with such mindset keeps his or her word, even when things get tough.

Someone with a mindset for excellence always comes on time. He or she does not deliver half work and does not call in sick for work or school just because he/she does not feel like going.

When a Christian has a mindset for excellence, this is shown in the quality and attitude with which the work is done. Paul says that you should do your work with all your heart as if you were working for the Lord and not for people. We have to do our work as if we are doing it for God! Paul says that if you do the work with that spirit and attitude, you will be rewarded for this. The Lord will reward you with an inheritance. That is why every day is a wonderful day and a challenge to do our work heartily.

Today is the day for everyone to raise the bar and bring your life to a higher level. Do you dare to set the bar at the level of excellence? God wants us to make a commitment today.

Dear readers, God only blesses those who want to be excellent in heart. You are the ambassador of your heavenly Father. You represent the almighty God. Everything you do – the wrong and good – is seen as a reflection of God. The Lord says that if you are faithful in little things, He will give you more responsibility.
