You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses – Acts 1:8

Many people no longer know the meaning of Christmas, Easter and Pentecost.

Without Pentecost

Without Pentecost, there is no anointed song, music or sermon. Without Pentecost there is no powerful prayer for healing. Without Pentecost there is no authority to deliver people from the power of the evil one. Without Pentecost you cannot truly testify about the love of Jesus. Pentecost has everything to do with the power of the Holy Spirit which was poured out 50 days after the first Easter.

Of course, the Holy Spirit was already working on earth but on that great day of Pentecost, a new era began. The Holy Spirit was poured out on 120 believers and they were filled with God’s power in such a way that people thought they were drunk. They needed that power, because they were faced with the major task to spread the gospel throughout the entire world.

What the Holy Spirit does

Before Pentecost, Jesus’ disciples were hiding behind locked doors and they were afraid to testify. But on the 50th (this is what Pentecost means) day after Easter, the same disciples preached openly on the streets and squares and testified under the anointing of the Holy Spirit; they were not afraid of anyone. This is what the Holy Spirit does. More than 3000 people were born again and baptized when Peter preached on that day of Pentecost.

It is time for the Church of Jesus Christ to be filled with God’s Spirit again. We can all be filled with the Holy Spirit today. God is able to fill us when we surrender completely to Him. Are you already full of the Spirit? You might ask, how can I be full of the Holy Spirit? Jesus gives us the answer: ask the Father for this.
