This is what the Lord says the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: concerning things to come, do you question Me about My children, or give Me orders about the work of My hands? – Isaiah 45:11

The answer to the question why we should study the future is firstly: because God says it is good to ask Him about the future.

Secondly, God says in the New Testament that it is His intention that we know the future. However, God does not want us to go to fortune tellers or astrologers. GOD HAS FORBIDDEN THIS. You have to be with God if you want to know the future. He wants to tell us about this.

Why? Because everybody wants to know what to expect. Every person is concerned about the future in one way or another. As you are getting older, you might already be planning for your retirement.

Prepare for your future

When someone is older, he starts to prepare for heaven. Do you do that? ‘Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment’ (Hebrews 9:27). There comes a time when man has to die. People often do not want to think or talk about it, but it is reality.

The Word of God for you and me today is that we are wise when we prepare for life after death.

What future do you want?

What life do you want after you pass away? What future do you want? Will you spend eternity happily with Jesus or will you end up in the lake of fire, also called hell? The choice is ours. Choose Jesus Christ today if you have not already done so. Prepare for a future with Him in heaven. Say: ‘Lord, I want to live for You and I will obey and love You. I choose You.’
