What God wants to do for you today!

What God can do for us, is only important if we believe that He also wants to do it. In the Word of God, the Bible, you find everything God wants to do for you!

‘What God can do, He wants to do.’

Is it God’s will?
Believing the Word of God is believing God. Doubting what God says, is doubting His Word. Doubting His Word is doubting God. Often people say: ‘I believe God can do it, but I don’t know if He also wants to do it.’ But Jesus came to reveal us the will of God the Father. Through the living Word of God (Jesus) I know that the ability of God to do things, corresponds to His will to do it, if we would only believe.

In Matthew 8 we read about a leper who fell down on his knees before Jesus and said: ‘Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.’ Jesus touched the man and answered: ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’ Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Oh, if people knew how God is longing and desiring to use His ability to save, to heal, to deliver and to bless you. What God can do, He wants to do. And to know the miracle He wants to do, you have to know what He can do!

What God can do for you
God did not lock His ability in a safe after creation. He has revealed it to us. Jesus said: ‘I must work the works of Him who sent Me.’ And He healed the man who was born blind. When Jesus healed the man who was paralyzed for 38 years, the Jews wanted to kill Him. But Jesus said: ‘My Father has been working until now, and I have been working’ (Johannes 5:17). Jesus always did the will of the Father. Peter said about Jesus: ‘He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.’

Faith for today
Often we are like Martha (read John 11). When Jesus came and her brother Lazarus was dead for already four days, Martha said:‘Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.’ Jesus said: ‘Your brother will rise again.’ Martha said: ‘I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.’ In other words: Martha had faith for yesterday and tomorrow, but not for today. We find it difficult to believe that what God could do yesterday and will do tomorrow, He can also do today.

Then Jesus revealed Martha and us one of the greatest secrets of God’s power by saying: ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.’ He is the great ‘I Am’. Not ‘I was’ or ‘I will’, but always ‘I am’. He is the great unchangeable God. Hebrews 13:8 says: ‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.’ Jesus showed Martha: ‘Not only yesterday or tomorrow, but every day I am who I am.’

God is a good God. He loves you! He wants to help you and He can help you. He did it for others. He also wants to do it for you. Allow Him into your life. Roll away the stone of unbelief of what you think is impossible. Believe: Jesus wants to save you today. Jesus wants to heal you today. Jesus wants to deliver you today!
